This item is used to connect a handheld ham radio to a communications headset. The part seemed pretty simple and straight forward, while using the part I noticed the volume from the radio was barely audible and was not going to be usable for communication. At first I thought the problem to be the headset, but I discovered that if I partially unplugged the ptt jacks from the radio I could hear normally, this proved the fault to be in the ptt jacks spacing. Sadly this product could not be used as intended and I will have to find another.
